Nothing can
be held back. There is no such thing as a recreational soldier. He is in the battle to fight or he is not there at all. We serve in the Army of the One who gave Himself for us when we didn't even recognize Him. He held back nothing - He gave up all that was familiar, all the Glory, and the eternal quality of presence with the Father so that He could come rescue us. When we allow Him to work through us, He will, but, oh how He can effectively use the Soldier who has decided to yield all In an era when Christians are encouraged to invest money, nest down into a cushy family life, and just look for blessing, God is looking for Soldiers who will live by faith, be willing and eager to move quickly, and obey because He said to. Soldier, there is nothing worth hanging on to, except the things that can never be taken away! |
