Of course reviewing
your past is painful. As the Psalmist says, consider the pit from which you have been dug! It is the plan of God that you spend your life reviewing past mistakes? Do you realize the word "mistake" is not in the Bible ? Particularly at night when we are vulnerable and the lights are low, the enemy loves to come in and condemn. Forget it! We have a Savior, because we needed to be saved. That gave us a new beginning, and even at that, we have supernatural forgiveness. Listen to me, Soldier: The Blood over you covers much. It negates what the flesh could not win. It negates old sin. It offers protection and it makes a way for you to approach the Throne of Mercy. There are multitudes that need Christ, and a Soldier of the Cross can not afford to be distracted by his own past inconsistencies. The issue is not my history, but the fact that those around me are perishing! |
