It is easy to
think we deserve something or that there should be a minimum
standard of reward for the Soldier of the Cross. Remember, our reward is in heaven, and the glory on earth is His Presence and the leading and evidence of the Holy Spirit. How quickly we forget! The flesh always has a bottom line that must be met, but now that we are His, we have a choice, and we do not have to be ruled by the flesh's false standard. Remember Hebrews 11? The Holy Spirit praised those who had been through things we have never even seen, and for all eternity we will be appreciating what they experienced. Puts things is perspective, doesn't it? Lord, I do not want to have any standards of my own. I desperately want to be a living sacrifice and be available to be used in any and every way heaven can conceive. Please do whatever is needed in my inmost being to bring that about. |
