There is nothing
- absolutely nothing that can touch you without the approval
of God. The Christian does not need to live in the fear of what is around the corner as the heathen does, because he is under the watchful eye of the One who sees each sparrow fall. It is easy to forget that we cannot protect ourselves or provide for ourselves. We cannot manipulate love or hide anything. Those without Christ do not know these things, so there are numerous methods of guaranteeing various vulnerable areas of life. In this country, we are insured beyond reason. We have layer after layer of protective devices ranging from earthquake protection to burglar protection. We insure everything we own and retirement is a prime consideration from the first work day. Soldier, things are different for you. Human loss is the backdrop for the display of God's provision. Vulnerability is the window through which the saved, the lost, and all the unseen hosts watch the power of the Lord in a believer's life. Stop thinking about what might be and follow the pillar of fire and the cloud of smoke. |
