We will never
be spared satan's ploys, but we can become vigilant enough to
spot them immmediately and resist. How do we resist? By taking an opposite physical reaction. If the enemy is attempting to make you retreat, you must advance. If he is trying to silence you, sing loudly. If he is making you angry, govern your faculties and exhibit godly graciousness. Don't you undersand? He is trying to prevent the opposite of his own goals with you. If he has your mouth and facial expressions, he has had your mind for a while. If he looses both in your obedient effort to honor the Lord and step into the truth that you are not your own master, then he has lost. Of course, he will try again. But the Word tells us he is already defeated. He is both insane and angry - a desperate combination. Look away, unto the Author and Finisher of your soul. |
