You must never,
never give up on the one who seems hopeless. I was the most hopeless of all - no one could have won me over. I was hard and I was sure. But even I did not know what the Lord was doing in my heart all the while. The winning of the soul is a supernatural process and can't be naturally evaluated. This also includes nasty, difficult, seemingly cemented Christians. The Lord begins in the deep places and works out. Our investigations start on the outside and work inward. The two will never meet. There is no age, no sin, no human determination that has gone too far for the Lord to reach. Ask the Lord to give you new response in prayer for the problem person, and He will allow you to pray creatively and you'll leave the tow rope in the prayer closet! |
