God's Word must
be central to our lives. We are commanded to talk about it all the time, to think about it all the time, to teach our children about it, to rest on it, stand on it, and proclaim it through out the world. How can we do that if we are not feeding from it each day? We can't. If we are passive about Bible reading (memorizing, study) we are no longer resting on the Word, but trying to put weight on the hologram of yesterday's knowledge. We must take the Lord literally and revolve around His Word. After all, He is The Word! Far too many Christians attempt approaches to the Bible in order to put it in orbit around their lives - like a charm to keep them from hardship and pain. He wants us to know Him. The Word of God must become a sweet habit in the life of every Soldier of the Cross. |
