The Bible says we
ought to be "pillars in the House of the Lord." A Soldier of the Cross will be there every time the door is open. He will not be late and he will sing loudly. He will greet others even when he feels terrible humanly, because he has come to understand personal ministry is a direct conduit of God's love. The Soldier will go to the unlovely and welcome them. The Soldier will uncomplainingly do things others will not do. The Soldier doesn't consider what jobs are or are not important - he just does the things that are needed. The Soldier understands if he doesn't do something, it may go undone. Yes, the Lord will take care of His own, but just as His Love is personal, so is His expression through His servants. He called you. Then He chose you. It was personal then, and it is personal now! |
