The Love of
God is not real to most Christians. Oh yes, they know about it and are well-taught about it and they sing and talk about it. But the experience of it is far from them because they have not deliberately meditated on it, have not prayed to walk in it, and have become numb to it. Yet, He pursues them. The Lover of your Soul loves you so intently that He carefully follows all the little creases carved by life's daily hurts and hurdles. He has made clear His desire to create Glory from each bruise, but is waiting for yieldedness in prayer to release the divine Resurrected Life into the crevice. Soldier, take a few moments. Stop and look at the One who gave up glory to come as a babe and die a public and humiliating death for your good. He is aware of the unfairness. He sees the debt. He saw you get hit. He knows you feel chained in. He understands you are suffering. But He is waiting tenderly for you to come to Him and speak to Him about it, privately, and outloud. |
