Be sure to ask
the Lord for encouragement. It is the privilege of the Soldier of the Cross to go to the Lord for refreshment and strength for the battle. There is a tendency to think it is better to slug it out. But the One Who hung the stars in place set things up in such a way that we cannot make it through without calling on Him over and over and over. We almost desperately long for any other way - but there is no other. So, Soldier, do not hesitate to stand before Him to ask for encouragement. Ask for sight, ask for strength, ask for Love, ask for supernatural understanding of the Word, and ask for endurance. He will not turn a deaf ear, and the coffers of heaven are turned over and already spilling - they will be channeled into anyplace carved out by prayer. |
