Remember, the
Soldier of the Cross does not live out the natural life,
but the supernatural. It is incredibly easy to fall into doing things as they are done all around us. It results in worry, fear, odd control habits, and on top of all that, the natural life is blind. The believer is born into the royal Race, and is an adopted son. He can function in Resurrection power if he will walk by faith, and he is allowed infinite investments in eternity. He can be with Jesus. He is learning to be like Jesus. His Father is chastening him. Nothing is the same for him as it is for his unsaved neighbor. So, when the Soldier awakens in the morning, he must face the day totally differently than the unregenerate - he is eagerly looking for, waiting for and expecting The Lion of Judah, the Rose of Sharon, The Lily of the Valley, The Bright and Morning Star to visit him, talk with him, lead him, and refresh him. What an amazement! |
