We must decide
if our lives are to be about loving and worshiping God, or being
rescued from the things around us. It is the nature of the flesh to demand changed circumstances, and nothing else can bring the illusion of relief. Immediately following the change, however, there will be another limb out of joint that must be set right. For the flesh, there is no end. The whole point of Psalm 91, is to declare the truth that the child of God has a Place to be and is already protected - not from the happening of the thing, but from the effect. Why is that? So we can be about our Father's business! He has put before us the things that are important, and the first and foremost is loving Him! How many Christians press into this commandment as the daily goal? Very, very few. Soldier, you are not in an earthly army, fighting for a political cause. You are in the Army of the Lord and you must learn to serve. Service is based on obedience, and you were created for love, not for worry. What a relief! Determine today to press on into Love. The worship of Him is based on the seeing of Him, and for this we were created! |
