The devotional
life is the measure of what is interesting to the believer, and
at the same time, the devotional life is what makes the Lord
personally interesting. So few are consistent. The reason is, He is not that important. He must be more important than Christianity, being right, and getting things done. The still and submissive time before the Lord is where things happen - in the heart of the one praying and in the unseen, because of prayer. That is where He becomes more real each day. That is where the problem pales compared to His sovereignty. That is where heaven becomes home. |
