When people
use the term "close to the Lord," they usually mean feeling
or sensing Him. Upon examining the Word, we see clearly that He considers closeness to be based on obedience. And so, Soldier, there are those times in your life when you can hardly move one foot in front of the other. It seems like you are criticized and weakened on every hand, yet because you know what He wants, you continue to obey, even though it feels like you are just slogging on. Remember the wonderful old song? It will be worth it all When we see Jesus; Life's trials will seem small When we see Christ One glimpse of His dear face, All sorrows will erase! We will have won the Race When we see Christ! |
