If the Lord
is sending you, you will not feel either prepared or equipped
when you arrive. A Soldier of the Cross must equip and arm himself with the Word of God and prepare in prayer, but if it he is really about the Lord's business, when he steps into the situation, he will feel inadequate and unable. But he will not feel ill at ease. Why? Because when the Lord sends his servants, they must lean on Him. They must not draw from experience and teaching alone, but must look to Him for a provision of the moment. Only the self-confident fool blows in with his baggage of formulas, tools and blinders. The more experience the Soldier of the Cross has, the more he or she learns to step up to the line and wait for the Wisdom from above. Then, there will be Glory! |
