     The flesh always wants to be stimulated.
    That is the reason so many glitzy performers make it to to the Christian stage - both in music and in other endeavors.
     But where the Lord is, there is fire - the fire that burns away all that is not eternal and it is most definitely not stimulating to the flesh.
     The One who died a public death for us is not interested in a show. If He were, He would have died privately and been resurrected publicly.
     The Holy Spirit speaks through the available heart and softens the heart of the listener. The Holy Spirit reveals Jesus. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin.
     The Holy Spirit calls the believer to take up the Cross. He never, never encourages the Soldier of the Cross to invest himself more heavily in this life.
     There is no short-cut.
     Death to the flesh.
