     The victory is not in the earthly outcome.
    Rather, it is the victory that is seen and celebrated in the heavenlies.
     There is a trend in today's Christian teaching that would lead the believer to think that the dissipation of his troubles evidences victory. But that is not so.
     Some of the most remarkable Christians over the ages have endured things beyond our imagination and the writer to the Hebrews tells us they were of faith, and faith is the victory.
     Faith obeys for the sake of obedience - not because the result will be immediate or pleasant.
     The "health-and-wealth" promoters play on the desire of the flesh to experience freedom from discomfort and to present evidence of tangible success.
     But the Word of God does not teach that.
     The Word teaches that we are to store our treasures in heaven.
     The Word assures us that this is not our home.
     The Word commands us to obey.
      We already have the victory. Death has been defeated and time is just the parenthesis that displays the Plan of God.
     Soldier of the Cross, do not investigate or examine the victory. We experience His reality and that is enough. Let us obey and believe Him when He said He would take care of absolutely everything.
     Do not look to the left or to the right - simply move on in faith! That is victory!
