How do we find
the will of God? Certainly not in praying that we will be guaranteed a successful venture. When He said I must take up my cross and follow Him, He really meant the Cross. that means the place of the death of the flesh. It is my flesh that wants to be seen as successful. It is my flesh that burns when I don't get my way. It is my flesh that takes offense. It is my flesh that wants to be guaranteed ahead of time that it will not suffer, but that it will be pampered and be elevated. The Cross is the place where all that must go, and it can not go without some bottom line living. No Cross, no Death. No Death, No Resurrection Life! . |
