      You have no earthly rights.
      As a Blood-bought Child of God, you have a right to the power, leading, 
conviction, assistance, comfort, revelation, assurance, and counsel of the Holy 
Spirit, but those are not earthly rights.
     You also have the right to Eternal Life, boldness before the Throne of Grace and
 the sweet fellowship of the Brethren, but those are not earthly rights.
      Have you not understood until now?  The believer has no earthly rights.
      You have no right to:
      Own anything
      Be understood
      Be well-treated
      Be able to plan your future
      Insurance
      Privacy
      Fairness
     Your job. . .
     And I could list many others.  
     Of course the Lord cares about out time here, and He attends to the details - but 
He attends to matters in a way that will prepare us for eternity.
     Soldier, are you concerned about yourself and how you are treated?  If so, you
are missing God's greatest blessing on earth - the privilege we have of letting Him
make His likeness in us.
     He may grant you a number of enjoyable earthly blessings.  He certainly cares 
about your minutes and your hours.  But He will not push you.  He will offer you
choices and you will only recognize the opportunities if you are longing for 
transformation and are pleading to be changed.
     That change should be the most basic desire of The Soldier of the Cross, for
if that desire is not present, neither will there be a desperate longing to know Him.
      As for me?
      I want whatever it takes.
