Pride is sneaky.
It justifies itself in all kinds of ways and always interferes with the Work of the Lord.
It sees fault in others, desperately tries to exalt self, and is addicted to the fulfillment
of its own needs.
We all fall into prideful patterns, and the Lord is gracious enough to point us toward
reality, usually in ways we would never choose.
Soldier, humility is simply agreeing with God, no matter what. That is why the Lord
could call Abraham "friend of God" and later say he was the most humble man on the
earth.
It didn't mean he was perfect, but his life exhibited a pattern of agreeing with God.
A humble man is a changeable man.
