     In this life, we will never be immune to the opinions of others.
     But we can certainly learn obedience in this area.  We can learn to stand on the
Word during those awful times when criticism is harsh or unfair, and we can keep
moving without breaking stride.
     The problem usually comes in talking about the situation and constantly making 
attempts to understand, defend ourselves, or balance the scales.
      Those efforts are all a waste of time and they are also often exaggerated self-
justifications.  Most of the time the words pound away on the ears of at least one 
other Christian, and usually the effect is to turn the listener against the original
offender.
     Soldier, when we are wounded, we need one another and we need to pray with
mature Brothers and Sisters.  It should end there.
     We don't have time to focus on ourselves.  The battle rages, and we are needed.
