What is fear?
It is the absence of a sense of control in the situation.
We who belong to the Lord are told one thing and see another before our eyes.
He has said He would care for us and do the best for us, yet the thing before us
seems to be so rabid and certainly it does not seem that God has intervened.
He never said He would make it look ok.
He just said it would be ok.
We have to learn to lean on Him.
Over time, as we go to Him and lay it all out, telling Him we want to step away from
independence, the Holy Spirit is free to heal those places that knot up so when the
storm blows.
You have a choice. You can stand out in the storm and chase the wind and the
waves around, trying to contain them, or you can hide in the cleft of the Rock, and
take Him at His Word.
He wants to give you the experience of His Love.
Then and only then, will fear be cast out and replace by a deep, calm security.
