Christmas is a traumatic time for many adults.
As we grow older, the losses accumulate, the responsibilities grow heavier and
perspective changes .
But for those who know and serve the Lord, it is a time to look neither to the left
nor to the right, and to press on in love.
It is not a time to demand that family return, nor is it a time to attempt to create a
particular atmosphere or gain a familiar feeling.
That is what the world does.
We need to be always watching for the Lord.
We need to be being stretched.
We need to be looking into the eyes of others and imparting Resurrection Life.
Soldier of the Cross, you are different. You may do what others do, but your
treasure may not be in sentimentality. It must be in the King over Whom the Star was
seen.
