What a gripping thought - the Christian does not need to fear.
Why then, do so many live in constant avoidance of the thing they are convinced
is coming? Because they do not believe God is stronger than the feared assault.
Soldier, as we go on with the Lord, we must learn to be more and more dependent
and less and less controlling. The need to control is born out of fear, and there is
healing and deliverance available for believers who suffer these symptoms of non-
faith.
The worst thing you can do for someone who is fearful, is tell them all the right
things.
They knew the answers before, they just have not experienced them.
Release from the control of fear is not intellectual and knowledge can't help much.
Most Christians who suffer from fear know a lot, can list many of God's promises and
are often over-educated in the right-answers-department.
Faith and fear are mutually exclusive. Faith releases all right to control while fear
lives in the worst of a situation that has not come about yet.
It is possible to dread and even to tremble, yet still take a step of faith. That is a
Soldier taking a step of obedience away from the security of the human fort and
moving forward to rest on the Rock of Ages.
It is a learning process.
We are given exercises in which we have the privilege of choice.
We are cradled.
And hallelujah, we have the Light of the Word.
We are never in the dark.
When we are ambushed, we are rescued.
When we run out of supplies, the ravens bring them.
When we can't go forward or back, He makes cuts a new path.
His plan for you is to lead you beside the still waters and feed you for all to see.
He really does anoint your head with the Holy Spirit if He is allowed to.
He is there.
Always.
