Soldier, worship
may be quite different from what you have been thinking it is:
When you are alone with the Lord,
tell Him the things you so love about Him. Let Him know
the depth of gratitude you experience when you think of your
salvation.
Have you heard the verse, "Sing
unto the Lord a new song?. . . " Well, ask Him what that
means.
While the private time with Him
is just that - private, it is sometimes helpful to know what
others experience. And, I must tell you, He is waiting for your
availability in the quiet hour.
He will reveal His personality,
the Hidden Things in His Word, and He will minister to you personally.
I often sing to the Lord. I know
no one else who does that, but it is a tremendous blessing. I
feel like a fool when I begin, but at the end, I am carried to
the heights of Glory.
He died for you.
He adores you.
The Bible says His heart is ravished
each time you think of Him.
You can not imagine His delight
when you press into intimacy with Him because He has asked that
you do so.
Be sure to pray outloud. Nothing
else will do - it is simply wool-gathering.
And remember, He loved you first!
