Soldier, the Lord has said you must
wait for Him, and wait for Him you will! It is far to easy to expect the Lord to work within the human concept of "possible" and when that time is over, resort to one's own resources. And of course, that is precisely the reason most Christians do not experience the supernatural leading of the Lord on an hourly basis. When the Soldier of the Cross prays much about something, he will have the power and endurance to hold the position long after others have fled and tunneled down into the darkness of human idea. That Soldier will see Jesus. Although He says He will never disappoint those who wait for Him, we have the hardest time waiting - until we have tasted His glorious rescue. And it isn't that we have an eleventh hour Lord, it's just that He has no eleventh hour. Eternity must contrast with time. He had commanded us to wait, watch for and expect Him. Lord, please train me. My impatience always surges like big waves and feels like a magnet pulling me into aborting faith. I long for your way. Please do whatever needs to be done in me to bring about your likeness. |
