We certainly love to sing about the "Victory in Jesus."
Why then is it so hard to give up the longing for the victory in our own efforts?
Because the flesh has such strong demands that if the believer is not in red-hot
fellowship, he is blind to the source of the press.
In Him.
By Him.
Of Him.
For Him.
That releases the Soldier of the Cross from the responsibility of the outcome. It
also shields him from the distress of the situation.
It makes the pain sweet.
Instead of watering down purpose, it propels the Christian into heaven's own
stream - meaning events have no time and are not measured by human dimension.
Avoid and bring to prayer the tendency we all have for personal satisfaction. If
the victory is in Him, we will not compare sight with knowledge - the great failing of
most Christian workers.
Soldier, look up and move on!
