". . .And David encouraged himself in the Lord. . ."
How interesting that we have not been told the details.
We do not know what he said or what he thought. We do not know how he
prayed and we do not know how the Lord did it, but our God wrote it so we could read
it, and we know the same encouragement is available for us.
Soldier, stop looking at the daunting mountain, and start looking at the One Who
said He has already prepared a solution.
I do not see the Bible supporting the modern :"seed faith" doctrine, but the Bible
certainly encourages us to look for and wait on the Lord for solutions that are beyond
human capability.
We really have no other options.
He created all we see.
He owns the cattle on a thousand hills.
He owns the wealth in every mine.
He created the ones that are giving you a hard time.
He is listening to you attentively and He will never turn a deaf ear.
Do you understand He adores you?
If He were indifferent, He would not have died for you.
And He did. He is now interceding for you with the Father. He cares about
each word you have to hear and each response you make.
Soldier, please, please understand: He died so that you would not have to bear
this burden. Leave it with Him in prayer.
By faith.
