Prayer allows sight.
No prayer, no sight.
It does not matter how experienced the Christian is, if he has not prayed, he will
not have the capacity to knock on doors and leave the opening to the Lord.
If the Christian does not pray about the matter, he will either grow numb, or he
will become intensely emotional about it.
Brothers and Sisters, whose responsibility is it to pray about the next meeting?
Whose responsibility is it to pray about the misbehaving child?
Who should be praying about the parking situation of the toilet that doesn't work?
Before the bake sale or the car wash, we must pray about the debt or the money
we are raising.
Our lives must be lived in and through prayer. Not tossed out comments to the
Someone in the sky who we assume is listening, but to the Tender Lover of Our
Soul Who purposefully gave Himself for our sakes.
He is the most intense listener. And He is the most responsive.
He will never ignore the request or get tired of what we think are the little things.
