     Be sure to read the Bible.
    Although there should be a devotional reading once a day where only a few lines or 
verses are  taken in, it also critical to read.
     It is also essential to read it in order.  Although some books are not chronological, 
and they are certainly not placed in chronological order, the Lord has put them in order
for a reason.  
     We need the Word of God far more than we know, and no prayer can be effective 
without it, for the Bible fuels prayer.
     We need the Light, and we need to enter in to the precious dimension of 
dependence.
     We need the whole Word of God - not just little pieces.
     Soldier, avoid the programs that chop the Bible up into little pieces and take you
all over, promising you the whole Bible in a year.
     Do not grope around like you do in the hymnal, looking for something good.
     If you have not read before, begin with the Gospel of John.
     If you have not read the entire New Testament in order,  do that.
     Then, go to the beginning of the Book, and read it from cover to cover - over and
over and over and over.
