Worry is the result of a passive mind. What have you been worrying about? Usually it is either money or a loved one. In either case, the committed believer must take the thoughts captive and lead them away - away from where they are now, into agreement with what God has said. It is only arrogant stubbornness that argues with this instruction. The Lord has made it clear we have the power to obey, but our tendency it to resist Him so we can have a few more moments to wrangle with it ourselves. If feels better to the flesh than faith does. Faith does not have a sense of personal satisfaction about its involvement. That is a screaming need of the flesh. Faith does not need to see the outcome. That is the goal of the flesh. The flesh is going to die, but the rest of you will live forever. The unsaved have no choice, but we who are covered by the Blood have the option of stepping away unto Release, Light, and Revelation - unto Him. It simply isn't worth it. Trust and obey - for there's no other way! |
