The believer who does not fill in the blanks and jump to conclusions is a wise man indeed. He stands completely apart from the one who is always deciding he knows what is going on because, he can see, whereas the one who must label everything begins to suffer from tunnel vision as he gets older. Soldier, isn't it interesting we are told to "assume the best. . ." that is the only instruction given when things seem unexplained and we must draw a conclusion. Otherwise, we are to wait. Wisdom does not draw conclusions when it is not necessary or when there is incomplete information. There certainly are times when something must be said or done and we do not have all the information needed - then, the Holy Spirit brings Light for just the next move or thing to say. Wisdom. Wisdom does not do much guessing. Nor does Wisdom assume what it does not see. If we fill in the blanks, we tend to step out on the imagined thing we have assumed and we speak about people and treat them as though we were right. God lets us see things on a need-to-know basis. If we need to know, we can ask and He will not withhold information. Otherwise, we wait! |
