We serve a God who had a Plan long before we came into being.
It is still true, although it seems the world around us is falling apart and we
experience imperfections in ourselves and others. Things often appear out of control
and when there is something we see causing suffering, we have a tendency to pray
as though Almighty God is not listening.
Those who pray little always have to tell the Lord all the details in prayer, and
those are offered as the persuasive points.
Soldier of the Cross, while He whom we serve does nothing except by prayer,
we must come to Him as the One who sees more than we, knows more than we, and
can and will do far beyond what we ask.
He is able. We are not. All the by-sight points of the issue are not the things that
need to be spoken in prayer.
His Word needs to be spoken in prayer.
Submission to Him needs to be spoken in prayer.
The healing must be requested.
The outcome must be left to Him, even when it is necessary to be specific.
This is how the saints over the ages have found release on their knees - by
prayer, before a listening Ruler, and in Faith.
