      Lamentations says "The Gold has lost its glitter and the coin has diminished in 
attraction. . ." 
     Oh, Soldier of the Cross!  When it comes to the death of the flesh, money is a 
key issue.  It is not possible to be captured by financial concerns and serve the Lord
at the same time.
     The enemy is always at us about something.  For some it is family.  For others it is 
opinion. For many it is religion - man's attempt to please God in man's way, rather than
God's.
     For the persecuted, it is life and death.
     But, Soldier, it is always about the issue of choice - the flesh, or His Word.
     When it comes to money, most collapse.  In spite of all He has said, the pressure
of what is owed, or what could happen, or what is needed, takes on a personality 
and becomes a penetrating jack hammer, beating away at the foundation of faith.
     It is simple.
     Do not yield.
