     Be sure to avoid self-preservation.
     Oh, Soldier of the Cross!  You have agreed to submit eagerly to the death of self.
And, you must pray accordingly.
     It is ever so easy to give in.  One little comment that escapes when the thoughts 
are not brought into captivity, or a seemingly innocent indulged insolation - these
are danger signs.
     Are you pressing Christian Duty away because of children?  Danger.
     Are you thinking ill of a Brother or sister?  Danger.
     Are you doing things or going places in secret? Danger
     Are you feeling sorry for yourself?  Danger.

     Oh, Lord Jesus, I meant it when I told you to please do away with all in me that is
not useful to you.
     Please, train me.  Please empower me.  Please reveal yourself to me in The 
Word, and do whatever is needed in me to bring about your own Nature.
     Lord I want to live in Heaven now. I want to be free to fully serve and worship you
now.
     I am willing to pay the price and am asking to be changed, Lord Jesus.
