The one who obeys and does not turn to the left or to the right will also be vigilant.
The instruction of the Lord does not direct us to develop particular skills, but
releases us to be led of the Spirit.
So many Christian workers today are concerned about honing skills and being
equipped, but what is really needed is tender training in responding to the Lord.
W hen we follow the Lord, we are led into situations and relationships that have no
precedent in our experience, and resisting control must be learned.
All the teaching in the world can not prepare the Soldier of the Cross for the
specifics, but the Holy Spirit will lead him into and out of the event or circumstances.
We must be dependent. If you join the ranks of those who are true followers, you
will unquestionably draw fire.
And, there is no Glory to be gained or found anywhere else.
