When there is an upsetting event in your life, your mouth must line up with God's Word. There can be no exceptions. This does not mean each Christian must be perfect, but it means that the Believer must check himself before he speaks. These things are not difficult, and they are spelled out quite clearly in the Bible. Have you been wronged? Since when do you have the right to avoid mistreatment? What does the Bible say? Has someone let you down? Can you find a verse that lets you lick your wounds? No. How about "He was wounded for our transgressions. . ." Are you the victim of a devastating misunderstanding? Are you allowed to go and present your case to anyone who will listen? What does the Bible say? We are talking about a way of life - obedience. Without it, there is no release, and your personality will take on the sting of one who has been wounded, but not healed. We have only one life to offer. |
