     We think it should be easier.
     Even though we know better, when things feel uphill, or nothing seems to be going
well, we fall into thinking there must be something else that can be done.
     Soldier, if it is not first done in prayer, it is not done for eternity. 
     Oddly, even Christian workers try to gain enough competency so that they can
ask God to bless their efforts in ministry , rather than asking Him to teach them to 
rely on Him.
     The flesh cannot bear the feeling of being out of control.
     And, the flesh will not feel any other way.
     The flesh will not improve.
     The bottom line is, learning to lean.

      Lord, I know I am pulled toward independence, but more than anything, I want to
obey.  I want your way, in your time.  
     I ask you to do whatever needs to be done in me to bring about your own likeness.
I long to be easily led and want to recognize you more quickly. 
     Please lead me through the wilderness, Lord.
