In II Corinthians 6, Paul says he and those who work with
him have come to receive praise and insult with the same 
attitude.
Those who do all they can to avoid criticism are not free
to follow or serve the Lord.
Those who need praise and recognition are paralyzed when
the accolades are not loud or frequent enough.
Soldier, if you have to stand alone, do so.  He who is willing
will have the sight and fortitude needed. He will lead you and
sustain you.
And His approval is far greater than human praise.
