Those who serve the Lord with gladness and who determine to love His Word
are not able to do so because they are special.
Those Christians are rare because the cost is high to the flesh. But they do not
have a stronger inclination, a higher pain threshold, or a deeper capacity.
They have simply responded obediently to the things He has made clear to us all.
Of course, it is Grace that allows us to see and hear and Grace leads us into
obedience.
But when we stand before Him and our lives are evaluated, and the divine Torch is
applied to all our works, no one will be able to say "I just didn't have what it took to be
a Soldier of the Cross."
So, drop the things that encumber.
Decide what you will think about today, and take affirmative steps to have
thoughts listed in Philippians 4.
Pray outloud.
Tell the Lord you are available.
Ask Him to change you.
He adores you - don't forget it.
Now. . . look up and move on!
