Yesterday I met with Elisabeth Elliot.
The Lord has already called her home, yet she is still in the process of leaving her
body.
My secretary and I arrived at her home in Massachusetts without any warning of
what was to come, and we were flabbergasted.
Elisabeth was not there. There was a body with dull eyes, and the voice was the
same, but the presence was gone.
Over the last twenty-five years, she and I discussed this sort of thing each time we
were together. When we prayed, she would take my hand and grip it tightly, always
asking the Lord to do the deepest work in order to bring about His will and His
likeness.
So, yesterday, I knew this had to be an answer to prayer. My secretary and I
could speak of nothing else on the journey home, and we could hardly breathe.
But we could certainly see the Lord.
Soldier of the Cross, have you been listening?
If you are available to let Him have your life, you must make that a position in
prayer.
Let go of your concept, and let the One who holds the stars in place have all
that you are.
