| When you have been with the Lord, you are refreshed.
Some seem to expect a change in soul status during the quiet time. That is,
it is easy to think each devotional time will be an "experience."
Soldier of the Cross, the time with Him is simply in Obedience to The
Master. There are times when He lifts you to the heights of glory. There are other
times when it seems that nothing happens, either in you, or from Him.
But we have The Word. We know He listens, and we know He hastens to the
cry of His Own.
I often stand during my time with Him. It is a posture that reminds me I am in
the Presence of the King.
Sometimes I sit and sometimes I kneel. But I do love to stand.
I have business to do with Him. I do not expect anything. He has asked me to
be a Living Sacrifice, and I am determined to hold that above all else.
I often sing to the Lord. I tell Him what I love about Him. I tell Him my verse.
And, more often than not, I ask the Holy Spirit to lead me in prayer.
I am always aware that He is attentively listening to me, with a heart that is
overflowing with the same Love that went to the Cross to rescue me.
I expect nothing. I believe everything.
I move on to the next thing
Learn to let Him take it. Learn to refuse personal inventory.
Look up. Move on!
