     Jesus attempted to please no one but the Father.
     Those who are devoted to pleasing the Lord by obeying Him, will not be so
concerned about pleasing others.
     The flesh is addicted to the approval of others, and often the tug is to
compromise in order to gain or keep that approval.
     What happens when others disapprove?   Usually immediate self-defense and
a hunt for the thing that is wrong with the one who expressed disapproval.  
     Soldier of the Cross, holiness is your vocation.  Loving God is your purpose.
     Love God means obeying Him.
     There is nowhere else to go.
