Always remember, God's Word is more real than the way that you feel. 
     Emotions are not illusions.  They are real, and most people, including Christians,
are driven by them.
     People misevaluate circumstances based on the way things make them feel.  It is also 
common to allow a feeling to lead into fantasy that rearranges facts to satisfy the emotion.
     We were not made to be numb, but we were created to be free.
     Soldier of The Cross,  The Word is clear about resentment, irritation, frustration,
offense (most definitely an emotion,) guilt, anger, fear and lustful passion.
     Why is it that so many have fallen when tempted with lust?  Because of the habit of
paying homage to feeling.
     Yes, I am saying you can feel out of control, but obey the Lord.
     We have the Indwelling Holy Spirit.  We have the power to obey.
     The beautiful news is, obedience will transform the emotions into expressions that line
up with His.
