Paul warned Timothy there would be those who would turn
away from the Truth.
Soldier of The Cross, one of the most important things you
can learn is, often the ones you help the most, will be those
who will turn away from the Truth.
As soon as you understand this, you are free to minister
unconditionally. You are free to love unconditionally. You
are free to exercise Spiritual gifts without the need to see
human success, or have positive human feedback.
Don't you find it interesting that Paul does not elaborate on
the details of those who deserted him, or betrayed him?
It is because he has not taken it personally, but has seen the
terrible sin of those who he is talking about.
Soldier, you must keep your eyes on the Goal. There is no
time, nor do you have permission to dwell on the sin of another.
Keep your eyes on the Lord.
