Jesus is our Advocate.

He requires that we talk to Him. We must be honest with Him, and there are many things He will not ask of the Father, if we do not ask Him.

I am an attorney. I represent my clients and I am bound by their petitions to me. They may not present anything to the court unless it goes through me. If I don't hear it from them, I can do nothing.

Although the analogy falls far short of His Advocacy, it still holds true.

He who loves us so, is available for Divine consultation. And, we have supernatural Power because of the Indwelling Holy Spirit. There is an enablement to present the issues and if we can't articulate the matter well, we have help.

"Ye have not because ye ask not"
