When Paul told Timothy he had little time, he was accurate. Shortly after Paul's second letter to Timothy, Paul was put under house arrest in Rome, and two years later, he was beheaded. He spoke efficiently to Timothy. Paul said he knew the Lord would deliver him safely into the Hands of His Master. The impact of that statement means, Paul understood he was about to die. He knew it was because of persecution. Paul's attitude was one of submission. His attitude was one of the Death of The Flesh. Paul was God's man. He knew God's time and God's way was best, and he wanted nothing else. Soldier of the Cross, do you want to be free today? Submit to the surgical knife of the Lover of Your Soul. |
